The Richards family has been farming in Biddenden since 1947. Opening the shop was the next step in the progression of the business at Pullen Barn Farm.
Provenance is the focal point for the farm shop, sourcing from our own farm and then working closely with local farmers and producers to bring a wide range of quality Kentish produce.

A family run farm rearing Dexter cows, sheep and chickens. We believe animals should be able to run free in the fields, enjoy fresh air and green grass.

The Castle Farm Shop overlooks the meadows of the River Darent and our farming policy has ensured that the picturesque quality of the valley’s landscape has been retained. In the summer months, our Lavender fields burst into colour across the Kent landscape and we harvest and extract pure Lavender Oil. We also grow hops and sell hop bines, vegetables, dried flowers and much more.

Our Farm is based just 2 miles away from the shop in Doddington and has been the shop’s main source of supply for Lamb & Beef for over 40 years. So the careful rearing of the animals specifically for S W Doughty has truly become a fine art – which explains why we are renowned for the outstanding quality and taste of the meat too.

Silcocks Farm shop has been trading since 2003 in the village of St. Michaels, Tenterden. We sell meat and dairy products produced on our organically run farm, along with other local products.
